Publishing Guide
Follow these steps to publish your LowContentLab book on Amazon KDP. Because every export already meets KDP's formatting requirements, there's no separate design or layout step between finishing a book here and uploading it — the process below is the same one KDP expects from any publisher, low-content or otherwise.
1. Export Your Book
From your dashboard, click "Download PDF" on any book. The PDF is formatted with KDP-compliant margins, bleed, and trim sizes ready for upload. There's nothing further to adjust before uploading — the file you download is the file KDP expects.
2. Create a KDP Account
Go to kdp.amazon.com and sign in with your Amazon account. Complete your author profile and tax information. This is a one-time setup — once your account is verified, every future book you generate here can be uploaded without repeating this step.
3. Upload Your Book
Click "Create a New Title" and select the appropriate book type. Upload your PDF interior and cover files. Set your pricing, categories, and keywords. Matching the book type you select on KDP to the one you generated in LowContentLab keeps trim size and interior settings consistent between the two.
4. Preview and Publish
Use KDP's online previewer to check your book. Once satisfied, click "Publish" to make your book available on Amazon. Books typically go live within 24-72 hours, during which Amazon reviews the file for compliance before the listing goes public.
